This procedure explains how to configure a Radiodetection SG locator—either an RD8200SG or MRX SG—to receive RTK corrections through MyRD.

MyRD acts as an RTK client: it connects to your selected correction service provider and sends correction data to the locator.

When MyRD is connected to Esri Field Maps, it also makes the SG locator available for use with your selected ArcGIS map.

Locator configuration

Follow the steps below to configure the locator for use with MyRD.

  1. Disable Ticket Mode
    • Navigate to: Menu → TICKT
    • Set Ticket to OFF
  2. Enable SMLOG communication
    • Navigate to: Menu → SMLOG → COM
    • Set COM to ON
  3. Set SMLOG protocol
    • Navigate to: Menu → SMLOG → PROT
    • Select ASCII 2
  4. Select your phone operating system
    • Navigate to: Menu → PHONE
    • Choose ANDRD  (Android) or IOS (iOS)
  5. Set Android connection mode (Android only)
    • Navigate to Menu → PHONE → ANDRD.
    • Select BLE
  6. Enable RTK in GPS settings
