NOTE: This functionality is not available on RD7100 and RD7200 locators

The Receive data menu allows the transfer of the entire content of your RD8200, RD8100 and RD7100M locators survey measurements (up to 999 points) all at once over Bluetooth.

This can be useful if you decide to create jobs at the end of your survey, or may be at a later time or date, or just want to backup or export all your data.

Survey measurements transferred in this way will be added to RD Map+ data memory. which includes all survey measurements points not associated to any job's survey. 

To transfer all survey measurements stored in your locator to RD Map+ follow the steps below:

1. Select Receive data from the RD Map+ home screen

RD Map+ will be ready to receive the data from the locator.

NOTE: The Receive data OPERATION will timeout after 90 seconds. Select this again if you have had no time to follow the steps below

2. Set your locator to transfer the stored survey measurements data

RD8200:

1. On the locator, press the   key to enter the menu
2. Navigate to the SMLOG menu using the or keys
3. Press the   key to enter the SMLOG menu
4. Navigate to the DATA menu
5. Press the   key to enter the DATA menu
6. Press the    key to transmit all the stored survey measurements to RD Map+
7. Once finished press the   key twice to resume locating

RD8100 or RD7100M:

1. On the locator, press the   key to enter the menu
2. Scroll to the DATA menu using the or keys
3. Press the   key to enter the DATA menu
4. Scroll up or down to the SEND option
5. Press the  key to transmit all the stored survey measurements to RD Map+
6. Once finished press the   key twice to resume locating

3. RD Map+ will show the progress of the data transfer in the centre of the screen. Once the transfer has completed press Close or Browse Data

NOTE: If you attempt to send the same data more than once, RD Map+ ignores all duplicated data.

Erasing survey measurements from the locator

It is good practice to delete all measurements from the locator’s internal memory once you have saved the measurements into RD Map+ or RD Manager for PC or RD Manager Online, as this ensures that you never reach the 999 points memory limit or to minimise your data transfer time.

To erase all the survey measurements from your locator:

   WARNING! Erasing measurements cannot be undone! Proceed with caution!
